Intermediate Curling Clinic

Take your game to the next level!

We will hold an intermediate clinic from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20. Designed for players with at least some experience and a basic understanding of the game, this clinic will focus mainly on developing strategy and improving execution.  The cost is $20.

  • Strategy topics include game plans, end plans, the seven factors that influence shot selection, and the expected success rate of plans such as stealing one, forcing one or being forced to score in the final end.
  • Execution topics include brushing technique and team communication but the emphasis will be on developing a straight, smooth, simple delivery that allows a variety of weights to be thrown with accuracy.

Signup is in advance with the Manager at the club (e-mail preferred). We may announce additional clinics if sufficient demand warrants.

Friday PM, September 17th  and Saturday September 18th

Cost is $110 per team (includes 3-4, four-end games and spaghetti dinner Saturday Night).  This is an informal open bonspiel so any four individuals can make up a team.

Come and start off your year of curling with some fun.  Four-end games with plenty of time to enjoy the bar, get to know new people and reconnect with old friends.  Extra dinner tickets available until noon on Saturday at $10 a person.

Novice Curling Clinic

Each Clinic costs $30 per person.  The clinic is intended to take you from beginning to end through the sport of curling; all aspects of the basic game, rules, safety, etiquette and techniques needed to start curling regularly.  Once you are done, you should have enough background to begin curling in a league geared towards building on what you have learned.  We have several leagues that would love to have new curlers so consider joining: Info is available here on the website, or from the manager.

Currently scheduled dates:

Sunday, September 19th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM: about 45 spots open

Tuesday, September 21st from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM: about 48 spots open

Wednesday, September 22nd from 7:00 PM to 9:00: about 47 spots open

We may open other dates so please feel free to contact the manager at the club for the possibilitiy of other dates/times.  Check back here often.

Signup is in advance.  Once a session is full, it will be indicated here.  Payment is due on the day of your session.  We accept cash, cheques, MasterCard,. Visa and most debit cards.
